Another Video

Here's another video, the first few seconds is TV again, then I got smart and muted it! Then make sure your volume is up so you can hear the funny sounds Chugs makes when she plays, the last 20secs. or so aren't anything you can stop after Chugs looks at the door, she thinks she hears something and stops playing.

Good Hair Day

My hair just turned out nice today so I wanted to take a picture, I didn't do my make-up though (very rarely do these days unless I'm going out). So sunglasses it is!!

One more thing....

Do you like our new profile picture? I do, mostly I like my hair, though you can only see the bangs. I looked good on sunday and so I took a picture of us and then had Jeremy take a few of me and the dogs, the one with the dogs didn't turn out. But here's me!

More Posts Please....

Okay, okay if that is what you are saying I will try harder! But I LOVE reading blogs and not writing mine!!!! I was excited about it but then nothing goes on in my life!!! I don't feel I have anything worthy of a blog!

Last weekend my parents and youngest brother and his friend (a girl) came down and we all went to lunch, it was fun we haven't seen my family in about a month (and then Jeremy was gone) so it was nice to spend some time with them, we came back from dinner and looked at all the pictures we had been taking of the dogs (I'm sure they had lots of fun!) They had to leave because my brother and his friend had something to go to that night. Here are some pics of my brother and his friend, the dogs LOVE them!!! Sorry the pictures didn't turn out very well at all!!! It's not the people or dog in them that were the problem it was the person taking the picture (and a little the dog, they won't ever stay still and look at the camera!!!).

Texas Hike part 2

Close up of Red Castle

Red Castle in distance

Texas' Hiking Trip

Texas went on a hiking trip to Red castle last weekend, she had lots of fun, it was beautiful and she was able to get her 'Dad' to take some pictures.

I had on my 'barkin' boots' and didn't like them. I refused to walk until they were taken off:)

This is me and one of the scouts that went along.

Hair Day

Today I did my great friend Hannah's hair, we highlighted it today, I miss doing so much hair, I love it soooo much!!!! While she was processing she asked me to give her little boy his first haircut, I also gave her older son his first haircut! (and have continued to cut his hair until they decided to just start buzzing it!) Here is cute little Jake getting his haircut. I wish I would have taken pictures of Hannah's hair too.

Object Lesson

So I taught Mia Maids sunday and the lesson started out with a story from Pres. Kimball about a tidal wave and how these two young girls tried to run to higher ground but the wave was coming too fast and so they clung to these trees with all their might. This is a quote from him:

“The Lord holds forth a glorious promise to those who love him and demonstrate this love by faithful, devoted service and the living of his eternal principles. When the winds of change blow fiercely and the waves sweep over us, we have a tree or rod of principle to which we can cling for safety. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ which has been restored to the earth in its fulness”

So I wanted a visual for the girls and something they could take home to remind them that the tree represented the gospel that we should cling too.

I thought of seeing if the dollar store had any little trees or if I could somehow make some, then a brilliant idea came to me! Those air freshener trees!!!! But I don't personally like the pine one and luckily they had this one called Sweet Pear, at least it's still green! I put the quote above on it. I'm sure they won't be forgetting this lesson for awhile!

Also the beautiful sunset that night, tried out two different light settings.

New Pictures

We finally went out and used our new camera! We went to Tibblefork reservoir up American Fork Canyon, I walked around a little, enjoyed the sun, and took pictures! It is so much cooler up there, we took chairs and it is so nice just to sit up there, a nice cool breeze and beautiful views! We all had fun!

The Temple

Finally, Jeremy and I were able to go to the Temple, we have been trying for so long and something would always happen or my health wouldn't be good. I don't know if my health was a good as it should have been today because it was very hard to keep from nodding off!!!! And my oxygen just barely lasted!!! But what a wonderful feeling at and after the Temple, I miss going as much as I use too. And the Brides, oh so many brides!!! And the heat, wow the heat!!!!! I'm so glad I got married in Oct. I would have taken one picture if it was today and called it quits!

Also a fitting day to attend the Temple as today President James E. Faust passed away.

Driving in Utah

Just to clear my record I DO NOT DRIVE LIKE THIS! But it is very very true of drivers in Utah.

BASIC RULES FOR DRIVING IN UTAH

1. Turn signals will give away your next move. A real

Utah driver never uses them.

2. Under no circumstance should you leave a safe

distance between you and the car in front of you, or

the space will be filled in by somebody else, putting

you in an even more dangerous situation.

3. The faster you drive through a red light, the

smaller the chance you have of being hit.

4. Never, ever come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

No one expects it and it will result in you being

rear-ended.

5. Braking is to be done as hard and late as possible

to ensure that your ABS kicks in, giving you a nice,

relaxing foot massage as the brake pedal pulsates.

For those of you without ABS, it's a chance to stretch

your legs.

6. Never pass on the left when you can pass on the

right. It's a good way to scare people entering the

highway.

7. Speed limits are arbitrary figures, given only as a

suggestion and are apparently not enforceable in Utah

during rush hour.

8. Just because you're in the left lane and have no

room to speed up or move over doesn't mean that a Utah

driver flashing his high beams behind you doesn't

think he can go faster in your spot.

9. Always slow down and rubberneck when you see an

accident or even someone changing a tire.

10. Learn to swerve abruptly. Utah is the home of

high-speed slalom driving thanks to the State Highway

Department, which puts potholes in key locations to

test drivers' reflexes and keep them on their toes.

11. It is traditional in Utah to honk your horn at

cars that don't move the instant the light turns

green.

12. Remember that the goal of every Utah driver is to

get there first by whatever means necessary.

13. If a driver stupidly signals to get into your

lane, accelerate as fast as possible so that they can

move in behind you. They either don't know what

they're doing or are from out of state. Remember,

using your blinkers confuses Utah drivers.

14. If you haven't maneuvered into the correct lane to

exit, because you are on an important cell phone call,

feel free to swerve across 3 lanes without signaling.

You wouldn't want to waste the extra fuel by waiting

for the next one. Besides, that's why they widened the

highway.

15. Whenever in the left lane, drive a few miles per

hour under the speed limit and don't move over to let

other drivers through. It's your duty to make sure

people aren't speeding.

16. Slam on your brakes whenever you see a police

officer. It's a good way to warn other drivers that

they should all fall in line behind the officer to

form a traffic bottleneck. Once he has safely exited,

resume speeding.

What a weekend

So just another weekend for us! I was admitted on friday afternoon and released sunday afternoon, still a little too long in my book. If I'm feeling okay I can't take the no sleep, it hurts worse than what I'm in there for! Chugs and Texas came to visit me on Saturday and Jeremy said that when he pulled into the parking garage that Chugs started crying!!!! And when she got to my room is was so so happy to see me! She has come quite a few times to see me in the hospital.

And if I only had a camera it would have been a great picture, Chugs was sitting, looking out the window and would do a low growl and huff when she saw people walking in a walkway a couple floors down!!! Texas was pretty excited, mostly just to be out and she loves seeing new people.

I'm doing well, amazing how you feel after a couple bad nights you get a good sleep and you feel so much better! I hope it lasts!
